August Favourites 2013

Watch me in HD!

Hello my lovelies!
My month of August was pretty darn boring compared to the month of July in which I was able to travel to Mexico and experience the amazing food, culture, hospitality, and beaches that Mexico had to offer! It was an amazing trip to say the least! Although August was rather lacklustre I did get a chance to try out a few new beauty products and rediscovered some as well! I can't can't to share them with you guys!

SNSD (소녀시대)'s Tiffany (황미영) Inspired Makeup

♥ Watch in HD ♥
Hello hello my darlings!

Today's post is a makeup look inspired by SNSD's Tiffany! I didn't get inspiration from a single photo but more so a collection of different looks that she has worn, but if I had to choose one photo then it would be the Mr. Taxi album jacket photos! This look is very chic and bold! It's all about the eyeliner! Watch this video to learn how to create a cat eye! The look features a smoked out cat eye, a little bit of an extra sparkle around the eyes, and really separated lashes! She actually used individual fake lashes but I didn't have any on me!

I really wanted to create a look featuring red lips and thought of different looks that I could create for you guys and I thought of Tiffany! She's always been known for sporting the red lips the most frequently of all the members, and in my opinion I think she wears them the best! A more natural red lip look will be coming up soon! I already have the tutorial planned out so don't any of you fret!

If you enjoyed this video don't forget to give it a thumbs up! Leave your thoughts in the comment section below and subscribe to my channel so we can be friends and braid each other's hair!

Re-Branding "Unmasked Canvas:" A Message to My Readers

Hello my lovely readers!

Today, I'd like to present to you the rebranding of my blog! Don't any of you fret, Unmasked Canvas will still be the dedicated blog/channel written and filmed by me and only me! I am still working everyday to uphold the name in which I brought up by myself!

I talk about Unmasked Canvas as though it is a thriving business or whatnot when in reality, it is just my personal blog with just above 30 followers... and that's exactly how I like it. I'm not saying that I wouldn't like more followers or gain more attention, I'm just saying that I'd continue writing and making videos even if no one out there was reading.

I come from a family where academics is held high on everyone's priority list and to be honest, it scares me. I'm scared that I won't be good enough to achieve high standards, I'm scared that I'll live my life doing something that won't make me happy, and most of all I'm scared that I'll forget what it is like to do something that you truly enjoy.

Blogging and making youtube videos is something that I truly enjoy and feel that I am good at without having to make 1000 flashcards and highlighting a textbook with as many pages to match!

As my youtube channel is gaining more subscribers (I finally hit the 100 sub mark! Yaaay <3), I wanted to create Unmasked Canvas as a brand managed by me.

I didn't take in much from my drowse worthy business course last year, but I do remember branding as being a quintessential part in upholding a business. Unmasked Canvas to me is not a business, but as I begin to actually make something of Unmasked Canvas I hope and it will serve as a constant reminder to me to not allow whatever crazy academic schedule I may have to compromise what I love most; helping and connecting with strangers about something that feels effortless.

As my youtube and blog begin to grow and improve, I as a person am doing the same because of you.

Thank You

Basic White Tee Pairing!

Watch me in HD!
Hello Everybooody!

Today's post is all about the most versatile and affordable clothing item that every girl should have in their closet at all seasons of the year; the basic white tee!

Styling the white tee is great because it's like working with a blank canvas, there is an endless array of possibilities that this blank canvas can take you. Something as abstract and simple as a dot in the middle of a blank screen can sell for millions!

Today I'm going to show you a couple of different ways to style this shirt that will cater to all different styles and age groups. This is the last video of my back to school series but probably has the largest target audience!

I also really wanted to share these styling tips for the petites out there specifically because there are a lot of trends that us short girls just can't pull off but there is hope and ways around it! yaaaay!

I hope you guys enjoy!

Simple, Natural, Quick Back to School Makeup Tutorial!

Hello my lovelies!
Today's video is a dreaded back to school makeup tutorial!

When wearing makeup to school, it's really all about defining/enhancing your own features as much as possible in as little time as possible! The last thing you want to be called is a cake face! You also certainly don't want to be uncomfortable wearing pounds of makeup on a long school day with boring lectures talking about who knows what!

This makeup is light, fresh, and natural! Suitable for all levels of schooling and experience with makeup!

I really hope you enjoy this video and hopefully (though unlikely) made you just a tad bit more excited to get back in school!
